CREATO Foundation is a Trust, founded in 2023 at Dhaka, Bangladesh. CREATO Foundation aims to make tremendous impact in the growth and development of in multiple sectors. The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to the range of projects we take part in. Each members support each other in our efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

The foundation in Bangladesh is dedicated to enriching society through various avenues. With a strong focus on art, culture, education, publications, women empowerment, child welfare, agriculture, health, environmental stewardship, elderly care, animal care and social welfare, our mission is to create a positive impact on diverse aspects of human life. Ar. Sumaya has graduated in 2011 from American International University-Bangladesh with full scholarship also received the prestigious “Vice Chancellors Award” for best thesis undergraduate academic recital in Architecture, moreover she was also bestowed with ‘Gold Medal’ for being the topper and achieving the highest CGPA both in her Batch and the Department. She has completed her post-graduation from the renowned Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA) in 2015, on ‘Spatial and Performance Design’ at London, UK with distinction in design. She has also completed Diploma on Film Making Program in New York Film Academy (NYFA), 2018 at New York, USA. To enhance her methodological skills, she has accomplished the professional course “Entrepreneurship in Built Environment: MIT | SA + P” from Massachusetts Institute of Technology: MIT, 2021 with distinction. She holds certifications on many advanced professional and technical courses and workshops from various institutes, around the world. The notable ones are - ‘Basic’ and ‘Foundation’ course at South Asian Institute (Pathshala), Dhaka, Bangladesh, 2012; ‘Digital Filmmaking Workshop’ at Shilpakola Academy along with Moviyana Film Society, Dhaka, Bangladesh, 2012; ‘Scenic Workshop’ at Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin), Berlin, Germany, 2014; ‘Woodland Ecology and Management’ workshop at University of Oxford, Oxford, UK, 2015; ‘Musical Collaborative Workshop’ along with ‘Emerging Ibiza’ at Ibiza, Spain at 2015.

Nashita Afroz is an architect and research enthusiast, is the Head of Communications at CREATO Design Research Lab Ltd. She is enlisted with the Institute of Architects Bangladesh as an Associate Member (AA-452). She is an active member of the Researchgate community. Ar. Nashita has completed her Bachelor of Architecture from American International University - Bangladesh in 2011. She has also obtained her post graduate certification on Sustainable Architecture Studies in 2015 from The University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. Her masters degree has instigated the shift towards the field of research based socially driven architecture in her career.

Barrister Khairul Alam Choudhury is a Senior Advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court. He is the Founder & Head of Chambers at his own practice Choudhury & Law Firm. Alongside he is also currently the Honorable Chairman of AB Bank Limited. He joined the Board of AB Bank Limited as Director in July, 2018 and has been elected as Chairman of the Board on August, 2022. He graduated from University of Wolverhampton, UK in 2001. Later Mr. Choudhury completed his Masters from City University, UK in 2002 and his Bar-at-Law degree from Lincoln’s Inn, London in 2002.

Shilu Islam has received her bachelors in Home Economics from Dhaka University in 1984. She has been actively involved in various cultural organizations. She was a renowned voice at Bangladesh Radio during her university days. She has previous experience in buying house & fashion industry. Ms. Islam is the Chairman at CREATO Design Research Lab Ltd.

Shafiqul Islam was a freedom fighter in Bangladesh Liberation War. He has received his masters in Economics from Dhaka University in 1974. He was actively involved in politics during his college days, assuming positions such as General Secretary at the Brahmanbaria College Chhattra League & Vice President of Dhaka University Chhattra League. He established a renowned construction company in late '90s named Homeland Construction Ltd. Currently he is the Director of the board at CREATO Design Research Lab Ltd.

Md Rubaiyat Islam is professionally an architect, graduated from American International University (AIUB). After graduation he joined Studio XI Architects & was involved in different kinds of project all over the country. He has considerable skills in the architectural field & project management. His interests span through landscape & street photography, music & travelling. He is immensely inspired through experiencing various cultures through travelling & reading.

Asif Zaman completed his Bachelors in Architecture in 2018 from American International University - Bangladesh (AIUB). He is passionate about Architectural Visualization, Graphic Design, Media Art and Motion Graphics. He is dedicatedly involved in the world of creative 3D modelling and Architectural design. He has conducted an extensive research on the lost archaeological structures of Bengal. His hobbies are Photography, Media art creation, Travelling and Cooking. He is enthusiastic about exploring creative works by artists, architects and people in all professions whose contributions compel the society to think differently.
